Please don’t judge me but…does anyone reading this who is a Christian struggle with believing they’re saved sometimes? or struggle with believing that our Father (God) loves us as much as He say’s He does?

Please talk to me..

Grace is what teaches us to say no to the world. It teaches us to say no to ungodliness. It teaches us to say no worldly passions. Have you ever let that sink in? Do you really believe that? Or do you think reading your bible more in the morning will do the trick? Do you believe that the unmerited favor of God towards you because of Jesus is what kills the power of sin in your life?

Jesus doesn’t want us to live a life life roller coaster. We shall live not by our feelings or emotions but by faith in Him. Whatever you’re going through right now, always remember the promises of Jesus. He comes to correct, to teach and to protect but He will never condemn. Lift up everything to Him and everything will be alright. All is well. God bless you!

Thanks to the sister who wrote this!

“Abraham is not a type of sanctification, but a type of the life of faith, a tried faith built on a real God. “Abraham believed God.” Chambers

It is because of him that you are in union with Christ Jesus, who for us has become wisdom from God, as well as our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. 1Co 1:30

The Father has given us “In Christ” (who is “the Wisdom from the Father” to us) a right standing before Him self (blameless); a holy character (pure) and redemption (free from sin). He has put these Godly attributes in “us” and we are to “work” them out in our experience by faithful obedience to Him and His Word. We will not do what is right all the time but we can learn to trust God and obey Him so He can make us be more righteous in our conduct. We cannot live a holy (pure) life but we can decide to let Jesus make us holy (sanctify us).” “We cannot do away with our past but we can decide to let Jesus do away with it.” We cannot set ourselves free from sin by our own efforts but Jesus can give us the strength and power (Holy Spirit) to do so (redemption).

Sanctification is the separating of a “un holy thing” (the immoral way we use our bodies, minds and spirit apart from God) that needs to be made holy (to be made spiritually whole in character). If that does not describe us I don’t know what does. Chambers reminds us “you cannot consecrate (separating of a holy thing to God for His service) unless you first let God purify (sanctify) that which you are to offer Him (body, mind, spirit). If we are giving over our bodies, mind, and spirit to Him so that He might “make them holy” (whole) then we can consecrate these faculties to Him in even a greater way then we presently can.

The arena of faith (trials and tests of life) is where all of this sanctifying of our members (body mind, spirit) gets worked out. It is here that our “faith in the God” who sanctifies us (through our trials and tests) is worked into us (our character) and proven out by our obedience to Him (the working out of our salvation). This is the very process by which we come to know Him experientially. This arena of faith is where our times of intimate communion with the Lord; “hits the road” and is tested and proven to be true or not by our level of trust and obedience to Him. It tests whether we are really “abiding” in the Lord or just “hiding” (from the Lord). There is no doubt He will change us (make us holy) only doubt that we will let Him do so. To let Him do so is the true test of our faith in Him.

“Oh my soul, by faith and obedience ever walk and not faint and do not get caught up in your “less then sparkling whiteness” of character. Your devotion to the Lord is what is being tested not the degree of how much you can clean up your own act; how pious you can appear; how much you can impress others with your over-bloated sense of yourself as is testified to by your “testibolony” (aka “testimony”). Be impressed with this one thing only: Do not delight in the deliverances of God in your life but by the fact that God has delivered you nor by the fact that you are sanctified (walking right before God) but that God is the one sanctifying (making you whole: completely His: like Him in character) you. He has saved you and has sanctified you not so much so you can be of service to Him (although that is a part) but primarily so that He can be the all consuming passion of your life.” Selah
